Victor Keen and Jeanne Ruddy hosted an event in June of 2014 to honor Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse and Dragon’s Eye Theatre at their Bethany Mission Gallery in Spring Garden earlier this year.
Smith Memorial Playground, located in East Fairmount Park, has been a treasured destination for over 100 years. As Philadelphia’s foremost resource for play, Smith provides opportunities for unstructured creative play for children 10 and younger and is an advocate for the importance of play in healthy child development.
